Activities
Because we are a small council, our two districts do all their activities together. The big one's that the council supports are:
For Cub Scouts:
- Cub Scout Parent/Pal Lock-In-This annual event is usually held in the winter depending upon when facilities are available. This year the event will take place at the Cumberland Riverside YMCA. Cub Scouts and their Adult Partner get to come spend the night and do some swimming in the pool, playing games in the gym, and Rock Climbing with Cub Scouts from other packs and areas!!!

Webelos-Ree and Boy Scout Camporee Hosts Needed!!
Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops, or Venture Crews are always need to host Webelos-Rees and Boy Scout Troops or Venture Crews are needed to host Camporees.
This is what we need you to do:
- Think about which event your unit is interested in hosting and let the Council Service Center know. You can Contact Us.
- Once approved, find and secure a location. We prefer Camporees and Webelos-Rees to be held at places other than Camp Potomac to help show off some of the other great locations we have throughout the council.
- Develop a theme based program and enough activities to fill the time of the event, including flag ceremonies and an Inter-Faith Worship Service.
- Develop a budget for the event and get it approved by the council. We will help you do this.
- Put together an information packet to be sent out to units. Please have this to the office at the latest one month in advance of the event (the sooner the better) so that it can be mailed and units have enough time to plan.
- For more information or help Contact Us.
