"Fail to Train, Train to Fail"
Regularly, the Potomac Council hears from leaders who tell us, “This program is too hard,” and “It doesn’t work!” How can this be, considering that it is working for almost 4 million youth across America? For these leaders, the program “doesn’t work” because they have not taken the time to utilize the resources available to them. Along with a network of experienced Scouters, and all the materials available to you through our Council Scout Shop, the Boy Scouts of America has one of the most comprehensive adult leader training programs of any youth organization in the world. Sure, having the books is nice, but do they do you any good if you don’t know how to use them? Training will give you these skills, and many, many more!!
What does it take to be a “trained” Leader?
