Youth Protection

The safety and well-being of our youth members is one of the foremost concerns of the Potomac Council and the Boy Scouts of America. Due to recent questions and misconceptions, we here at the Potomac Council decided to add this section to the website as a reference resource for our Unit Volunteers.

Much of this information is copied directly from the Guide to Safe Scouting which contains policies and guidelines regarding safety as it relates to all types of Scouting activities. This guide can be accessed online here: Guide to Safe Scouting
